FAQ’s
Who is The Reset Schools Programme for?
The programme is designed for pupils aged 16 to 18. It supports self-awareness, confidence, emotional understanding and practical skills for navigating relationships, everyday pressures and the transition into adult life.
How should I introduce the programme to pupils?
Explain that The Reset gives them space to understand themselves better and reflect on their experiences. Encourage curiosity and honest reflection. There are no perfect answers, and pupils should take time to consider what each activity means to them.
How do pupils register?
Pupils will receive an email inviting them to create a password. They simply follow the instructions in that email. Once their password is set up, they can access the course and begin modules one and two.
What if a pupil has not received their email?
Ask them to check their school email account, including the junk or spam folder. If the invitation is still missing, contact the programme organiser so their email address and access can be checked.
Why are only modules one and two available initially?
The programme is released in stages to give everyone enough time to complete the activities thoughtfully. Modules three and four will become available once the group has had sufficient time to work through the first two modules.
Can pupils work ahead?
Pupils can work through the available modules at a considered pace. Later modules remain unavailable until they are released to the group. Encourage pupils who finish early to revisit their reflections and practise what they have learnt.
Why is journaling important?
Journaling gives pupils time to explore their thoughts, recognise patterns and connect the learning to their own lives. Encourage thoughtful responses rather than quick answers written simply to finish an activity.
Do pupils need to share their personal reflections with the class?
Avoid asking pupils to read personal journal entries aloud. Class discussions can focus on general themes and learning, with pupils choosing how much they feel comfortable sharing.
What is my role as a teacher?
Help pupils access the course, provide time for the activities and encourage a thoughtful pace. You can support discussion and answer practical questions without expecting pupils to disclose personal experiences.
What if a pupil finds an activity upsetting?
Give them space to pause and speak privately with an appropriate member of staff. Follow your school’s usual pastoral and safeguarding procedures if a concern arises.
Is the programme a replacement for counselling or mental health support?
No. The Reset Schools Programme provides personal development and reflective learning. Pupils who need individual support should continue to access the appropriate school or specialist services.
Who should I contact about access or programme questions?
Contact Will at will@lifebywill.com. For an access issue, include the pupil’s school email address and a brief description of the problem. Never send their password.
